2016 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo

Get a peek at how pharmaceutical production facilities will be run a decade from now.  How do we incorporate the new technologies of Single Use and Continuous Processing?  What can we do to make our factories more flexible and efficient?  What types of new features can we expect in devices and the challenges to produce these advanced products.

These questions and more will be answered during the Product Development and Production Systems education track at the 2016 ISPE Annual Meeting and Expo.  Below is a highlight of a few must attend sessions:

Real Life Benefits from Process Closure

We have promoted the benefits of process closure for some time now.  Improved quality at reduced costs are possible.  But what have we really seen in practice?  How do you deliver on these improvements?  Attend the presentation on “Real Life Benefits from Process Closure” on Sunday, 18 September from 12:00 – 13:30 and get the details.

Retrofit of a Clinical Facility

We have recognized the benefits of single use technology in the right applications.  But we have existing stainless plants.  Why and how do you assess the benefits of single use in a retrofit of an existing stainless plant.  Hear from those who have done exactly that at the session on Sunday, 18 September from 13:45 – 15:15.

Continuous Manufacturing

Pharmaceuticals have been manufactured using batch processes for decades.  However we have recently recognized the benefits of continuous manufacturing for certain products.  Sample one or more from the three different presentations on this topic on either Monday, 19 September or Wednesday, 21 September.  Don’t miss the chance to hear from those doing it today.

Pens, Auto-injectors, and Combination Products

Devices of various designs are becoming more required to facilitate patient’s convenience.  This requires a different approach to these combination products as they move through design and approval.  Hear experiences and suggestions from suppliers and developers in the session on Wednesday, 21 September at 8:30 – 10:00.

Attend the Product Development and Production Systems education track at the 2016 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo to get up to speed on how pharmaceutical production facilities will be run a decade from now.
