The ISPE Student Poster Competition is an annual competition held by local ISPE Affiliates and Chapters. The poster presentation consists of a visual display of research findings combined with an interactive question and answer period with a panel of judges from the industry. Local winners advance to the International Student Poster Competition at the ISPE Annual Meeting, where they have the chance to win $500, recognition during the Membership Luncheon and International Honors Awards ceremony and an engraved plaque from ISPE.

This is an excellent opportunity for Student Members to network with other students, young professionals and ISPE Members. The poster competition winners who travel to Las Vegas are able to discuss their research with their peers and also with leaders in the industry. If you are attending the Annual Meeting, you will be able to view these students’ hard work and discuss their abstracts with them. You can also view the local competition winners’ abstracts online and learn more about the poster competition.

But it’s not all hard work for these students during the Annual Meeting. They will attend a special YP/Student Luncheon and Orientation on Sunday featuring Ken Ewan, formerly of MedImmune and Amgen, and currently Principal at KME Leadership LLC. Ken, a professional career coach, will share information with the group on creating a 1-3-5 year career plan. ISPE will also present a special track for YP education, including critical utilities, design for operational excellence, project and operating challenges and more.
