ISPE UK Affiliate Secretary Charity Challenge to Help Fight Leukemia
The UK Affiliate Secretary, Jon Youles, and two of his friends set off on Saturday, 7 June from Land’s End (the most South westerly point of England) cycling the length of the country up to John O’Groats (the most North Easterly point of Scotland). It is about 1100 miles in total.They will be riding via the biggest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland (Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis respectively) and walking up them.
The three men are riding to benefit the Anthony Nolan Trust, a charity that registers and finds matches for bone marrow donors helping save lives and cure Leukaemia. The men are riding in memory of their friend Lee Conchie who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and passed away in October.
